Kinne Plastic's is a family owned business in the heart of Michigan's lower peninsula. It was started on a dream of doing something better, and in our first years we produced over 250,000 Urinals for the Portable Toilet industry.But a few years ago one of our family pets, a cat named Mr. Cool was ill and needed to be put to sleep. When we asked about a Casket the Veterinarian told us that none where available at a reasonable cost. We would have to bring a box or bag for our cats remains. After 14 years of faithful devotion all we had to for our loving pet was an old shoe box.Being the owner of a Plastic's Thermoforming shop I decided to make sure people would have a cost conscious alternative to the $100 plus Pet Caskets on the market today. But any old box would not do, so we decided to use only the finest materials available, to make the best Plastic Pet Casket possible.The thought of a plastic casket that would be in the ground for over 10,000 years did not appeal to the nature lover in us. So we searched for an EPA approved biodegradable plastic. Then the project took on life and we began plans for a Pet Casket that not only the plastic would biodegrade, but every component involved would return to the earth in a friendly manner.Silk was the natural choice for the blanket which would enshroud the deceased pet. But even most silks are colored with paints and treated with chemicals to enhance the performance and beauty, we had to come up with an all natural alternative. The search took us all the way to Thailand, to a remote mountain village named Boan Khwao. Where silks are still made by hand, died with all natural dies, no paints, and no treatments with chemicals. These villagers still make silk as it was made hundreds of years ago, all natural, all by hand, raising silk worms on mulberry bushes on there own farms.Then in order to complete the Pet Casket only 100% cotton lace is used to trim the burial shroud, we even use 100% cotton thread to ensure 100% biodegradability.We at Kinne Plastic's are very proud of our end product, and believe no better Pet Casket exists at any price. Made with the same Silk Shroud and to the same high standards as our biodegradable model, we have brought a non-biodegradable option to our customers.Our first casket is designed to hold a pet of up to ten pounds, be it a cat, a small dog, a hamster, your pet bird, any pet at all weighting up to ten pounds.
